Spoil Royale

SAFETY & TRUST

Spoil Royale is built around social play — strategy, conversation, and competition between real people. This page explains how we keep Spoil a place worth playing, what voice and video mean for your privacy, how reporting works, and what to do if something goes wrong.

About Voice and Video in Spoil Royale

Spoil Royale offers live voice and video chat to make our social game feel more personal and intense. Because this content is live and user-generated, Spoil does not pre-screen, monitor, record, or store these streams, and Spoil is not responsible for and does not endorse any statements, opinions, or conduct of users transmitted through voice or video.

A few specifics worth knowing:

  • Voice and video are transmitted live through our partner LiveKit. Streams are not recorded by Spoil.
  • Other players in your lobby can see and hear you in real time when these features are on.
  • Spoil does not use AI or automated tools to monitor what's said or shown.
  • Recording other players is against our rules and may also violate state and federal law.

Voice and video are optional. You can play Spoil without enabling them.

If You Feel Unsafe or Are Being Mistreated

If you experience bullying, harassment, discrimination, threats, or any conduct that makes you uncomfortable:

  1. Use the in-game report button to flag the user.
  2. Leave the lobby. Don't stay in a game where you feel unsafe or are being abused.
  3. Email play@spoilroyale.com if you'd like to follow up directly.
  4. Contact local emergency services if you believe you or someone else is in immediate danger.

Your use of voice and video features is at your own risk and is governed by our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines.

How Reporting Works

How to Report

  • In-game: Use the report button in any lobby. The report goes directly to our team.
  • Email: Send details to play@spoilroyale.com.

When you report, include the username of the user you're reporting and what happened. If you can include a lobby ID or approximate time, that helps too.

What Happens Next

  • Spoil staff review every report.
  • Your identity as the reporter is kept confidential. The reported user is not told who reported them.
  • We may review the user's report history and other context.

Enforcement

We apply consistent enforcement based on what's reported:

  • First report (non-severe violation): Warning to the reported user.
  • Second report (non-severe violation): Permanent account removal.
  • Severe violations: A single confirmed severe violation results in immediate, permanent account termination. Severe violations include content involving minors, credible threats, hate speech, sexual harassment, doxxing, and illegal activity.

We also reserve the right to take any action we believe is appropriate, including cooperating with law enforcement.

Appeals

If your account was terminated and you think it was a mistake, email play@spoilroyale.com within 30 days. We'll review and respond within a reasonable time.

Our Rules

The full list of what's allowed and what isn't is in our Community Guidelines. The short version:

  • Don't harass, threaten, or discriminate.
  • Don't share sexual content or anything involving minors.
  • Don't share personal info — yours or anyone else's.
  • Don't record other players.
  • Compete hard, but keep it human.

Mandatory Reporting

Spoil is required by federal law to report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). We take this seriously and report immediately when we become aware of such content.
